I love this book. Very inspiring step on the spiritual journey. Often women struggle when trying to find a place within a traditional religion, and women exploring Buddhism can come up against these same gender issues (surprising, but true). Opening the lotus gives a woman firm footing upon which to base further exploration of Buddhism along with some very inspirational moments related by the author and several tangible additions to your practice. Wonderful informative volume for women looking for a place in Buddhism or who feel called to explore Buddhism. Lots of good information for beginners.
